Inside Gleamy Acupuncture Centre
What can acupuncture help with?

People come to us for pain relief, stress, sleep, low energy, digestive complaints, and general wellbeing. In your first consultation we will talk through your concerns and whether we can help.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Most people feel little more than a light tap when the fine needles go in. Many clients find the sessions so relaxing that they drift off. If anything feels uncomfortable, we adjust straight away.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your concern and how long you have had it. Some people feel a difference after one or two visits; longer-standing issues usually need a short course. We will always give you a realistic plan rather than an open-ended one.

What happens in my first appointment?

We take a full health history, look at your tongue and feel your pulse, and then give a gentle treatment suited to you. Allow a little extra time for this first visit.

Is Chinese herbal medicine safe with my medication?

We always ask about your current medications and health history first and tailor any formula accordingly. Please tell us everything you take so we can keep your care safe.

What should I wear?

Loose, comfortable clothing is ideal so we can reach the points we need. If necessary, we provide towels and gowns for your comfort and privacy.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed. You can book directly with us. If you are working with another health provider, we are happy to work alongside them.

How do I book?

Call us on 09 826 4561 or send a message through the booking form on this site, and we will find a time that suits you.
